Congrats Xwing! Best wishes to you and your new co-pilot ;) My fiance and I were going to stay at the POFQ until I got the nice discount at the Dolphin/Swan. Everybody says the FQ is a very nice place. I can't answer your questions because I have little WDW experience, but check around on the threads here. I have been asking many questions myself and maybe some of those answers will help you.

Boardwalk Inn Concierge. Nice hotel, hard beds, great front desk service, terrible concierge service.
