We had heard the same thing about slipping your name and address to a character. Our DGSs tried it last June and never received a picture. Someone else on the boards (can't remember who it was) had the same experience and as I remember, posted later that they had called WDW and was told WDW didn't do that type of thing. Hope this isn't too much of a disappointment but better now than to be expecting a picture in the mail. Sorry!
