You're right, Joe, it was called Top of the World. The Top of the World featured a dinner-club atmosphere with dancing and live music. It was a great place, especially on New Year's Eve.
The Top of the World gave way to the California Grill in 1996.
As others have said, the California Grill is a fine restaurant with wonderful food and service. When the MK fireworks begin, the lights in the restaurant are dimmed and the soundtrack is piped in through speakers. You can either remain at your seat, or go outside to the viewing area.
The menu changes periodically, but one of the things that's always on it is the oak-fired beef filet. If you like steak, it's better than anything you've ever had -- even at the high end places like Ruth's Chris and Morton's. Check out the
