It was staged from the top of the Chinese theater and we used to get our spot on the pavement right in front of the theater (there was no hat then) and watch the fireworks. Hey Joseph. I think you are talking about Sorcery in the Sky. That was the name of the fireworks show you described. It was a very cool show. That Mickey at the end was a big balloon, and it inflated almost instantly, making it seem like it appeard out of nowhere. I always loved the sparks coming out of Mickey's finger at the end. :)
