Hello! I've stayed at the Dolphin while on business and Dixie Landings (yes, old name but it was a while ago) for family vacations. The Dolphin was very nice, especially the lobby, pool, and transportation. I thought the Swan's lobby was not as nice. The Dolphin's is BIG and makes a nice underwater statement. My father and I spent a lot of time in the Dolphin's lobby people watching and playing pool off to the side and it was fun. The room was nice, just as it would be at a Sheraton or Hilton. Roomy but not "themed" neccessarily. The resturants were good for adults but not so good if you have active children. The pool area was nice but not themed.
Dixie Landings was also nice (and more resonable when the company's not picking up the tab!). I liked the main lobby/store/eating areas. They had a very nice cafeteria style dinning room perfect if you have active kids. The food was standard and predictable but our wait time was usually minimal, especially for a quick breakfast. The pools were great and had water slides and such -- good if you have kids. The rooms, although themed, are small and typically "motelish." You enter your room from directly outside like a motel not a long interior hallway like an upscale hotel. Both have their pluses and minuses.
I'd say if I was with young kids I'd avoid the Dolphin and Swan as too "businessy" and stay at another moderate place like Dixie Landings. Teens probable won't care either way. If its just adults go for the Dolphin and the bigger more delux feel to the rooms. Service at both were excellent.
