Apparently, the resort received very minimal damage and there are no issues with structural integrity. However, I am told that there is substantial damage to the beach and access to the surrounding areas is a problem. This explains why no check in's will be scheduled until October 17th. If you have an existing reservation, I encourage you to contact member services as soon as possible. They will work with you to find other accomodations at another DVC or Interval International resort. If you have to cancel your reservation, they manually adjust your points so that they do NOT go into holding.

That is even worse than AllEars says. They said it was through September 30th. If your reservation is affected then DVC will be contacting you.
