Day four
We were switching resorts this morning. We decided to try the AKL concierge, the children wanted to do the early morning safara. You can only do this if you're staying concierge.Well first of all it was way to early to be getting up after being in the parks for three days. We had to be at the AKL by 6:00 am(everyone was so cranky). We manged to check in without any deaths. The children sleep in the lobby till it was time to go. Off we went, the excitement was a bit dampened due to the early morning resort change. If you ask the kids today if they enjoyed it I think they would say yes . If I had to do this over again I don't think I'd change resorts the same morning . I was hoping our room would be ready when we got there(wishful thinking). Yes the early morning safara was very fun, I felt the normal ride was just as good. Would I recommend this to other people? No I felt it was to much money, if you did'nt have to stay at the concierge then yes it would have been. By the time you shell out the extra for the room and pay $50.00 a person The food after the safara was very good. On my take about the concierge, was this worth the money? I think the perk made the trip a little more special . I think everyone should try this at least once. The difference between the two resorts was the level of the food. At the GF becouse the sugar loaf is a grade below the main there was no alcoholic drinks. If you're going to do this you might as well go all the way and stay at the main at the GF. Now the food offering at the AKL was wonderful, everthing was perfect. The staff was wonderful. We did talk to the staff and they did say the could not get PS just becouse they were concierge, they have the same screen as the whole system(no perk there).
Off to the Animal Kingdom park after the safara. We went strait to Dinosaur, this would have to be one of my favorite rides(I still scream no matter how many times I ride) .Did I mention today was my birthday and I just had to have a pin . Then a Bugs life. After that we took off to park hop, off to MGM. I did have dinner PS for Chefs De France but was told to cancel becouse my children had my bday suprise set for me . So spent the afternoon in MGM boy was it packed. Everyone was so tired from the morning it was hard to get into the swing of things. Rode the large rides again and had a late lunch at Mama Melrose. The food was very good and priced well. Everyone was so tirerd we deciced to see if our room was ready. Off to the AKL. The feeling of entering the room knowing the animals were right outside our balcony was enchanting . The room seemed a bit small next to the GF. I did enjoy the AKL but think small children would find it more entertaining. I liked the GF more in the long run. We decided to spend the rest of the evening at the resort till it was time to head out to my bday suprise. Something was up becouse one of the children was trying to keep me busy when someone knocked at the door(so I went along) . Next thing there's a Zebra cake with my name on it . This of course made me cry. Then I found out someone from the park sent it, who I'll never know. The chef made it himself . So I cried again, I'm almost in tears as I write this. Ok a nuff of the mushy stuff. So we off to the big suprise. The kids decide to pretend there lost and are runing late to add to the suspense. Then they really do get lost( I had no idea where we were going). We show up at Hoop Dee Doo Revue . I did enjoy the show. This was my first time at one of Disneys musical dinners.I hope this wasen't to long and everone enjoyed it. Tina
