Thanks for =all= the posts!! Now I'm more confused than ever! :p (just kidding)
There are 10 of us going. My parents, my crew, and my brother's crew (using a left over day from their park hoppers). So we are park hopping! (That's another post how I put that together :laugh) So we are starting an early entry day in MK. It's Jan 2, 2003. My brother's wife said they wanted to skip Epcot all together but I already sent an email I might steer us over for illuminations at the end.... I'm the one that's made all the plans (their just letting me go crazy!) for everything so "if I plan it, it will happen" (like "if I build it, they will come".. lol.. I never saw that movie)
My parents are in their 60's..... My dad really doesn't like crowds and both my parents say they are only coming to be with the kids. I can see my Dad skipping out on us all-together at some point during the day and going back to the resort to take a nap.
Growing up, my parents took me to Opryland (it's gone now) in Nashville almost every year. They love shows!
I guess, with all the advice, if Illuminations show is 10 minutes longer, that might be the way to go, although I do remember my first time to Walt Disney World and seeing the fireworks behind the castle. It does make an impression. Probably my parents would be more interested in having a good seat and whichever would be less crowded. heh.
Since we are arriving Jan 1st - that's a great idea to go see the fireworks from one of those other resorts. I never would have thought of that!! Brilliant idea!!! Also, my brother's family can opt out (if they want to) and go to sleep early while I take my parents to see the fireworks!! Terrific idea Trishb!
Thank you so much EVERYONE for all the comments for each! I really appreciate it!!!
