OUR TRIP REPORT Dec 2nd-Dec 12th
We stayed in Toronto the night before our trip so we didn't have to rush around. The flight left at about 9:30am and we landed at about noon. We stopped for some food and then went to the hotel. We checked in about 2:00pm and the room was not ready. We got our cards and had somethng to eat. At 3:00PM the room still wasn't ready and would be about another hour. We went to the MK to get our passes and they wouldn't let us get the Fla season pass this time. We got one last year since DH was working in the US as the time. So we got a 5 day park hopper. The boys were devestated that we didn't go in to the MK, but we didn't want to waste a day for a few hours. We went to EPCOT just for a look and then back to the hotel. Got our room (0311) at the 70's building-great location for the room. I was really angry because not only did we get the room 2 hours late, but it STUNK like smoke really badly, and it was anon-smoking room. Housekeeping came to spray, but it still smelled. Went to the pool for a bit after that.
Friday-got a 7am wakeup call and got ready to go the MK. We spent the entire day there. The longewst that we ever had to wait for a ride was 15 moinutes MAX. It was awesome. We met Buzz as soon as we got there. We did a lot of the rides, including the Space Ranger spin, Stitch, tea cups, riverboat, Winnie the Pooh, race cars, you name it-we did it! The kids were great, so we stayed till 5:00pm, came back for supper and then relaxed. At bed time our youngest got sick, so we had to get new sheets for the bed. 2 calls to housekeeping and 1.5 hours later we got the sheets. Didn't sleep well since ds was sick.
Saturday- Went to Downtown Disney. DS and DH were both not feeling well, so we went back to the hotel for lunch and a nap-slept all afternoon. Went to Old Town for the evening and I was sick as well as out other son.
Sunday-Went to the Animal Kingdom. Had a great day! Didn't go on Donosaur, or the Kali River Rapids. Did most everything in Dinoland. I would have liked to stay for the parade, but the kids were tired. We were there for opening and came back at about 2pm for a nap. The day was great. We got a fast-pass for the Safari. We didn't have any other lines! Went to EPCOT for the evening and stayed for Illuminations. Did the Turtle Talk and it was awesome!, dh and I went on Misson Space (no line) and I felt sick after, but it was great. Didn't go to the countries, just the Land, and a few other things.
Monday-8:30am breakfast at Chef Mickeys. DH had to make a business call for a radio talk show back at home, and he thought that it would be 5 minutes, (turned into 30 minutes). So he only got to be with us for the first 1/2 hour. We met Minnie as soon as we sat down, so we wern't really ready. We were out within an hour. Since dh had to leave, it wasn't easy to go back for more food (the boys are 2 1/2 & 4 1/2). After breakfast we went back to EPCOT and did everything except for the Countries. We cam eback for a afternoon nap. At dinner time we went back to the MK for a few rides the parade and the fireworks. It was PACKED! no wonder we never go the MK on a Monday. We saw most of the parade from Frontierland and after that the fireworks were starting at 9:00pm, so we stayed where we were and had a great view, and hardly any people. The show would have been better it we were in front of the castle or on Main Street, but it was good since we were not packed like sardines, and the boys could run around for a while.
Tuesday-Stayed at the hotel in the morning, and played at the park for a bit. Went for a swim, had lunch and a snooze. Went for our "hotel" tour. Took the bus to Downtown Disney and the bus to the Poly. Checked out the decorations, went to the Grand Floridian to see the tree and gingerbread house, took a boat out at 5:00pm for 1/2 hour, got some great pictures. Went to downtown Diswney for some shopping and hot chocolate. Oh, I forgot the mention, the weather to this point has been wonderful. The evening at Downtown Disney we didn't even need a sweater!
Wednesday- Went to MGM, saw the Bear in the big blue house show, the backstage tour, met Mickey, Buzz, Woody and Jessie, had lunch at Pizza Planet, Went on the Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller coaster (no lines!) Rockin' Rolelr Coaster is my new fav ride. I've never been on it and loved it!! Came home for a snooze then back for the Indiana Jones show, Osbourne Family lights and Fantasmic. Got in late so we had to stand.
Thursday-Breakfast with Mickey at the Ohana-wonderful. The sericve was great! After breakfast we went shopping at Belz and got lots of stuff! Bck to Downtown Disney for shopping and hot chocolate!
Friday-Went to the MK again. We were there for the park opening with the train coming in and the pixie dust. I had to hold back the tears! I am such a big baby! After it opened we went to the Buzz ride and went on twice without waiting, Did the Jungle Cruice, Pirates of the Carribbean again, Big Thunder-again...no lines! I almost cried as we were leaving since that was the last day of our pass. I didn't want the day to end! Went to EPCOT for the evening and visited all the countries. Loved Norway and Mexico. The past 2 trips we've skipped the countries so I was so glad that this timee went back for them! Great shopping and stuff! Wanted to stay for Illuminations, but the kids were too pooped!
Saturday-We went shopping at the premium outlets and Old Navy. Had lunch out and then back for nap and packed a bit. Went to Downtown Dsney for the evening. Came back and packed some of our stuff. The weather got cooler today, but we had a little swim anyways
Sunday-Had breakfast, finished packing and headed to the airport. It was a good day to leave. The weather was cool-needed pants and a jacket. The flight left about 15 minutes late and arrive in Toronto at 4:25PM. Home in Kitchener at 7:00pm-drove through a snowstorm to get home!.
So that's my report! All in all we had a great trip! We had great days every time we went to a park! No lines more than 15 minutes! It was wonderful!
