I got one at the outlet store in St. Augustine FL and I turned him on, but he still only says a few things, but from what I understand he does need to be programed, but, from what I read, he needs to be in the park... to be fully functional... but once programed, I think he will work ok... I was able to pick him up from the charactor Premier which is the outlet for the theme parks... they had lots of them... and was at a really good price... Do you have a # for that store? I have one that I got from WDW when they first came out, but at $28 I may get one for my nephew who is 14 months old
