Trip Report! Disney Wonder Part IV

On the last day of the cruise, we were supposed to go to Castaway Cay, but the weather conditions wouldn’t allow it… The captain tried three times, but it was not going to happen. So then, we slept in a bit, and I thought we could have a leisurely breakfast instead of rushing through it like I have been, and go to Tritons, but we showed up 10 minutes late…grrrrrrr… So it was back at good ol’ Parrot Cay.

There was a character dance party in the atrium, and I got a photo of my daughter with all the characters…dancing with them etc…she was having a total blast. The kids were going wild, and the parents were trying to follow their kids with the camera aimed and ready for that perfect shot… After that, I picked out and bought a photo of us embarking and one of our formal photos…very nice. We then walked around the ship with my camcorder…by the time we made it up to the deck on floor 8, my daughter was getting really antsy so I had to give it up…so my tour is a floor short…actually 2…*sigh* So then, we went back to Tritons and had a sit down lunch…which was really nice. My daughter got the salmon and I got the chicken…then I spent the rest of the meal trying to convince her she really doesn’t like fish, and that she should give her lunch to me…hers was so good! She wouldn’t take the bait though, and ate every bit of it…she did share though :o

We did go up to the pool and my daughter swam in both the mickey and goofy pools. She had a blast on the slide and they were handing out free fruit fruit punch and rum punch…oh my! We got ready for the evening pretty early this day, because my daughter was going to be in a farewell show that the childrens clubs put on. While she was in rehersal, I decided to do some packing and organizing…and Im glad I did…cause it saved me time later on. The show was absolutely adorable….If you have children on the cruise, its definitely worth it it put them in it! All in all, though I was disappointed we didn’t get to go to Castaway Cay, it did give me time to do things on the ship like the pool, and eat lunch there, which I would probably have missed out on. We made the most of it…

The show for the final night was Disney Dreams…it was awesome…not to be missed! The look on my daughters face throughout the show was of pure awe! Dinner at the Animators Palate was colorful…one of the servers was laughing at us, because we were all getting so excited to see something turn from black and white to color. I think the adults at our table were more excited than the kids were…well, nearly!

I did my nightly thing of taking my daughter to the club, then off to wavebands. The people I usually met there weren’t there the last night, I think because they were packing and then likely went to bed early. It was 70’s disco night… We did a soul train thing of forming a line and dancing down the middle doing the carwash…hey, I don’t care how lame that sounds…it was FUN! The host (cute as a button…and the accent…oh my!) came up to me, and gave me a pin. He said that there was going to be some sort of dance contest, and that he wants me to be one of the judges…he said when the woman up front calls for people with pins to go on up there….so it was three women, three men that went up. We then find out that we are not only judges, but the dancers! The guys sat in a row in front of us, and we had to wait in the hall, and go out one by one…the women lipsyncing Survive by Gloria Gainor, and the guys did their Travolta moves to Stayin Alive… catch was…we had to “seduce” the judges into picking us at the winner… oh my…just imagine the rest! We were all winners of course and got a cruise mug… That night, Im not sure who fell asleep first…me or my daughter!
