I requested the Magnolia also! I was, of course, happy to be put in the Acadian House. I was happy, quite honestly, to be put in a Mansion room at all. They put us all together in rooms 8223-8225 on the second floor on the back side of the Acadian House. A long walk from the main building but right near the North bus stop - so that was GREAT! My parents and my room connected so that was fun as well.

I'd say, if you really want the Magnolia, be sure and call a couple of days before you get there and ask to talk to the person that assigns rooms or someone that can change your room to where you want, in case they have already assigned you somewhere else. The man I talked to was so nice - I think they are happy to accommodate you if they can. Also, you might be able to already know your room number before you get there!
I would say if you can't get the Magnolia, go for the Acadian. Having the bus stop near us was terrific!
This was my first time staying at a Disney resort, so I can't compare the resort to any other, but it was very pretty and I was really impressed with how very quiet it was. Just put your walking shoes on. <smile>
