Our April trip plans, how do they look?
Hi all. I just wanted to do a run down of our April trip to see how it looks to all you Disney experts out there.
DAY 1 Friday April 15th
Landing at Orlando airport at 12:45. Meeting our driver from Quicksilvers (still have to set this up) We're planning on doing the grocery stop for some munches. Hoping to be at our resort (Pop Century) and in our room by 3:00 p.m. I'm not sure how far the airport is from Disney so not sure if this is enough time. After checking in and dropping off bags we hope to be at Disney Quest by 4 p.m. Is this possible or am I pushing it time wise?
We're gonna spend the rest of the day here. Probably grab some food from the food court. Heading back to the resort around 11 or 12. Do the busses run that late? If not it will have to be earlier.
DAY 2 Saturday April 16th Magic Kingdom Day!
We're going to have breakfast in the room. We would like to start the day by watching the rope dropping ceremony. Once we get into the park we don't have to much of a plan. There are a few things that we for sure want to see,do and ride. For the most part tho we're just gonna play it by ear and work ourselves around the park the best we can. I want this day to be both fun and magicial.
For lunch I'm thinking about doing a seat down restaurant. I'd love to do CRT but there aren't any princesses there at lunch are there? This is gonna be a surprise for my DD's sweet 16th bday. She's a big pooh fan so maybe something with Pooh would work great too. Any suggestions?
After lunch it's back out into the park for more magic. We'll probably try to see more of the park and hit our favorite rides again.
Dinner will be at a service counter place. Any suggestions for this one?
Then hopefully the Spectro Magic parade will be going on this night (this is why I picked a Saturday for MK) We'd like to finish our magicial day with a magicial night by watching Wishes and the kiss good night. The perfect end to a perfect magicial day.
DAY 3 Sunday April 17th Typhoon Lagoon Day.
This is gonna be our wet, slippery, fun, water park day.
We'll start the day off with breakfast in the room. Then heading out early to make sure we get some chairs.(I hear it's a big problem getting chairs if you get there late) The big things we want to do here are:
the new water coaster (if it's open when we're there), the Shark Reef (is there anything seperating you from them?) Castaway Creek, of course the kids want to hit everything. lol
Lunch will probably be at Typhoon Tilly's Snack Shack. After lunch we'll just rest a bit and then hit the waters again.
We'll probably spend a good part of the day here, as we all just love water parks.
When we leave here the kids (including DH & I) would like to rent some run a bouts. After this our plan is to do a little shopping and finish the day off with some sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich. (heard they are great)
Then headed back to the room to pack, do some laundry (what time are they open till and how much do the machines cost?) and getting ready for our 4 day cruise, which starts on Monday.
How does this plan look and sound to everyone? Am I missing anything? Any suggestions on must see's and do's or don't at any of these places?
