We are exactly the same way, this is our first stay on site. We always just drove over from Daytona for the day before. We decided on Caribbean Beach because of the beach theme. YOU CAN have 5 in the room as long as the 5th person is under 3 (per my travel agent who checked with WDW). If you like the beach I would go for this resort personnally.
