That can happen in any hotel in the world. We stayed at that very same hotel last month and didn't have any problems at all. Hotels all experience problems with staff, guests and 'casual visitors'. It isn't possible for them to stop theft from rooms and guests have to act responsibly. The safe is provided exactly for that reason. We used it. Shame though if it spoiled your holiday, but don't blame the hotel. We thought it was fantastic from start to finish.
