First of all, welcome to DC.

I say go now and enjoy what you can. I know it seems like a lot of attractions are closed for rehab but it isn't 1/4 of the attractions. If you are going back in a few months you can pick up the few things that were down and redo your favorite ones then. Any time you go something is going to be down, that's just the way it works.

WDW is so big that you won't be able to see everything in one trip, no matter how hard you try. We just relax and do what hits us and fit in as much as we can knowing we won't do all of it.

The weather is better now, it's cooler and it rains less now than in June. Also, the crowds are probably going to be worse in June with schools getting out.
