I hope it's taught all of us a lesson. I've worked at a bank and/or credit union for the past several years. It amazes me how little attention people pay to any of their statements. Personally, I don't even wait for the statements. I am constantly checking my bank accounts on-line as well as any credit cards I have active at the moment. And if they don't have on-line services, you can usually call & get an automated listing of your last transactions. If anything is going to happen to my accounts, I'm going to know it within 24-48 hours of it happening. I had a lady come in last week that had a couple things come out of her account that she didn't know what they were for...one in Sept & the other in July! The bad guys are long gone by then. Advise to everyone: Monitor all of your accounts for your own protection!
