Some years ago we checked our stroller, were charged $30.00 because a person had to take the stroller to the plane and off the plane. that was the airline's explanation for the charge. In reality they charged us the money and then made us take the stroller to the plane in Chicago and take it off the plane in San Francisco. Needless to say we were a bit upset and since we put the charge on a credit card later disputed the charge and did not have to pay.
So watch out and never ! pay cash or by check, should they want to charge you, for things like that.
