Speaking of sensationalizing news (and sorry if this is a hijack, but it's related), Sunday morning, ABC runs this teen news show. They had a running story about how the draft may be reinstated. Each segment of the story upped the threat of being "forced to serve." At the very end of the segment, they said something like, "Officially, the U.S. gov't says it is not considering reinstating the draft, but we'll continue to watch this story."

Puh-lease! When there is no news the news will make up news to have news.
