Re: Best Value Restaurants in the park (if possible)
French Market and the Plaza Inn are both running similar-types of buffet-style dinners at night. They'll usually have some kind of meat selections, chicken, pasta, salads, desserts, stuff like that. They are priced ok, because it's not really a "sit-down" but buffet-style. And you're not eating out of styrofoam, like someone else mentioned.
Redd Rocketts is our absolute favorite as far as taste goes...they have awesome salads and pastas, and the pizza slices are enormous. 2 kids could easily split one slice. It's not as fancy as French Market or Plaza Inn but still our favorite, and we eat there on almost every visit.
The Mexican restaurant in Frontierland has recently been remodeled and now includes a barbeque grill counter. That might be worth checking out. And the atmosphere there is unbeatable.
We also like Carnation Cafe for lunch or an early dinner. If you have kids, order them the Painter's Pallet. Really fun! They bring out two slices of bread opened up with peanut butter on one face, and then little cups of jelly, raisins, chocolate chips, gummy bears, cheese, marshmallow fluff, etc, on a huge wooden painter's pallet. My kids always have fun with it. They have great sandwiches and soups too. And, if you sit there during a parade, you'll have a great view in a relaxed setting. Perfect time for ordering a cappuchino.
Pilot's Taste Grill is fun, and they have that burger bar. But it's not much more than burgers and chicken nuggets - I wish they'd expand their menu a bit.
DCA also has the Vineyard, which I think is a good value for a nice sit-down restaurant. It's pricey, but not over the top. The food there is very good, too.
Blue Bayou is another vote for atmopshere. Be willing to wait for a water table.
The counter-service place in Tomorrowland by the stage also has good, healthy choices, such as wraps and fruit and lots of unique fare. And, a good value. The Country Bear restaurant I think is still there but I haven't been there in ages, but I'd also label that as a good value.
Overall, I think there are a lot more choices in DL to eat than there are in DCA.
