I don't know if this will help, but it might!
There is a golden figure of Peter Pan flying around the top tower of Cinderella's castle for the 50th anniversary celebration! You can tell your kids that Peter is busy at the castle and can't run his ride! then you can show your children where he is at the castle, and, if possible, get them a peter Pan memento of some sort! I know it doesn't make it
all better, but it just may help alleviate the problem a little bit!
