Re: CRT breakfast - hints???
OK-so I'm no expert, but here's what happend to me last week when we did our reservations for CRT...
Set the alarm clock for 645 am. I logged onto my computer and checked in on atomic clock time for EST. At 655 am DH and I started calling WDW Dine. By 659 am the propmpt service started answering. I got thru first and maneuvered (sp) thru the menus as quickly as I could-but I didn't have the info in advance which options to press. I got thru to the operator first and said as quickly as I could "Hi, I need a PS for CRT on 9/14 for a party of 3 at anytime...) and she said ok and put me on hold. About 45 seconds later, my DH got thru on the cell phone (we used two lines, a home phone and a cell phone) and started the same process, just incase. When my operator returned, [she could hear my husband talking to the other operator on his cell phone] she told me that her system froze and she couldn't get it moving so I'd better try with my husbands operator. Just my luck! I thought we lost it. Luckily enough, we had done everything so fast in the beginning, my husband's operator continued with the reservation and actually even gave us an option of about 7 different times to pick from! So, we made our PS for 805 am the first day we are spending in MK.
Later that morning, I thought I may try my luck again and see if I could get a later seating (DD/17months is a late sleeper) and when I called at about 1100 am, there was still atleast two seatings left for late in the morning (like 930 and 1015). So, that being said, I guess it is getting somewhat easier to land the reservation. Due in part, I'm sure, to the CRT lunch now being offered.
So, my best advice to you is to try calling on two different lines at the same time-preferably with another person. Apparently, computers can fail at the most inopportune times! Lucky for me, I had DH. Otherwise, I probably would have lost that prime time spot, and who knows if I even would have gotten the reservation at all!
