I've heard lots of people say "I give them to my child so they have their own money".. why not just give them money?? I heard some other responses about it being a budgeting tool as to not overspend (which, if one gave their child money, that could been seen as budgeting as well), or giving as a gift, which makes sense to me, because it is taking an interest in the gift recipient and what they are going to do with it. I just don't understand when people say they give it to their children, instead of real money....why? Maybe I just don't get it cause i don't have children. But, if one loses disney dollars, they aren't replacable, so, it is like losing money.... please help me understand!! haha
