Sorry, it's true. But, to get serious for a minute, I unofficially specialize in "high fear" patients. I LOVE when people come to me and are scared to death of the dentist, because I know, with time, I can change that. Dentistry doesn't have to be scary if it's done well. And, a huge part of doing it well is keeping the patient comfortable. I kinda have an interesting rep among the dentists in this area. One of them told me recently that he won't cover emergencies for me any more when I'm on vacation, because "all your patients are crazy." Believe it or not, I took that as a complement.
