I tried to do this the other day and I couldn't. Why? It turns out that although the card has my name on it, it's not
really my card. The card is in my husband's name, and I am not a joint cardholder, but rather a 50's throwback on his account subject to his manly whim.
I suspect it's because I filled out the application (for both of us) that was officially addressed to him.
So... make sure you are the primary cardholder before you call.
That's all I've got, since I wasn't allowed to talk about anything. Womenfolk have to be kept in their place! LOL
