Re: Death Match: Old Key West vs. Beach Club Villas vs. Saratoga Springs
We're stayed at all three and it isn't even a contest - Old Key West. It's interesting that people who haven't stayed at any almost unanimously vote for BCV. Looks can be deceiving. Visually, and location-wise, BCV should win - but having now stayed at all the DVC properties at WDW, BCV would be rated last by me. Our suite looked older than any villa we've had anywhere else. The rug was unravelling. There were chips out of the countertop - it was obvious that the materials used here were not of the same quality as OKW. And the mousekeeping left something to be desired. And, of course, you can't even compare the room sizes. OKW also has the advantage of close parking - no hiking from parking lot. BVC wins on the pool - but, personally, we're not really pool people. Saratoga Springs is a beautiful resort, but the villas are even smaller, and it's too far from all the parks. If I wanted to be closer to Epcot, I'd choose Boardwalk over BVC.
