AKL...Amazing

Hi everyone. Like Tinkerbell, we are home too. We were there at the same time she was. I am going to post some reviews about AKL, Boma, Room Service, Mara, Cinderellas Breakfast, Rainforest, San Angel Inn...Gee, did I do anything other than eat? LOL. Anyway, Had the most Amazing time. I actually got tears in my eyes when I had to leave. I fell completely in love with AKL and actually looked forward to getting back at the end of the day to enjoy it. Surprisingly, we ended up taking one day off from the parks (the day we were supposed to go to Universal) and stayed at AKL. We had even purchased our tickets before we left and they're still in our bag, but I'm really glad we stayed there that day. Just wish we had more time.

I will warn any of you who like the bright, well lit hotels. AKL is very dim, which was perfect for me. Especially at night, it had sort of a candle lit feel. That was one of the things I enjoyed, it made me feel completly relaxed at the end of a hectic day at the parks. I felt so much at peace there. Everyone was so polite and other than one woman I met who was complaining about the hotel not being anything special (I can't imagine what she is used to if she didn't think it was special), but everyone was SO nice.

Anyway, gonna try to get some rest. We had a family emergency last night about 30 min. after getting home from our 20 hour drive and I was at the hospital until 5:00AM, so I want to post my reviews when my head is clear. One quick thing for anyone going soon.....if you like Tomato soup, the Tomato Bisque Soup at the Mara was the best I've ever had. It had sort of a smokey flavor with different types of spices and a bowl of it was only $2.50, which is really inexpensive for anywhere in Disney. I ended up ordering it everytime I wanted a quick something to eat. I would recommend trying it, it was terrific!!!! But beware of other food from the Mara.

It's good to be back on the boards, at least now I feel like I'm getting my Disney Fix and I can always look forward to planning the next vacation. OH..also, for you all who are going be SURE to ask for the free upgrade. We got the free upgrade to the pool view and I Loved that view so much. So basically it was 144.00 a night for a pool view, which isn't bad.
