Oh my gosh Bella! We did California for our honeymoon and it was AMAZING! There is SO much more you MUST do besides DL. You'd definately have to sightsee around the LA area, Santa Monica, and Venice Beach. It would be CRIMINAL not to take the AMAZING coastal highway 1 drive to the Big Sur, Monterey, and Carmel. They have some BEAUTIFUL lodges up there that are pretty affordable (we did Big Sur Lodge).
Around the DL area there are a lot off offsite DL area hotels, they call them "Good Neighbor" hotels and you can find them on-line. We didn't stay at a DL hotel on our honeymoon. We stayed at the Loew's on Santa Monica beach, and did all the driving. It's really nto that far. There are also a lot of cute hotels in that area that I think you'd love!
Do some searching on-line. It's GREAT there. That would be awesome if you got to go!
