I'm sad

to report that one favorite has already disappeared from MGM's Hollywood & Vine buffet menu and another soon is likely to follow. The very popular turkey pot roast with vegetables has been replaced with a traditional beef pot roast. And, according to our server the other night, management likely is going to remove the creamed corn spoonbread, too. Our server said that although both items are among the recipes most-requested by guests, management just feels that changes have to be made every so often.
I must say that the new beef pot roast was very good but I'll miss the turkey version if for no other reason than I could con myself into believing I was eating a little healthier scarfing down turkey instead of beef. As for the spoonbread, well, there's just no suitable replacement. But at least I do have both recipes at home.
