I have sort of watched a parade from there before. That was during a lighter crowd day which really made a difference. If it is crowded then you will not be able to see very well at all and most of what will be visible may be limited to the tops of floats and stuff. The Cafe is back just enough to allow for a lot of bodies between you and the parade.

In short, I wouldn't have very high expectations for seeing that parade, but you will still be able to enjoy the vibe and energy very nicely!

I would do it in a heart beat!!!
