Re: ADR Frustration

We had an interesting thing happen when we were at Le Celliar on June 2. Our ADR was for 2:10. I told DD and her family to be sure and meet us there by 1:30. I certainly didn't want to lose that ADR since, when I originally made the ADR, they told me the ONLY time they had available for 6 people on the 2nd was at 2:10.

So we checked in and were patiently waiting to be called when a group of 8 shows up and said they had an ADR for later in the afternoon but they were starving and was there any way they could take them early. The CM told them sure, no problem. Then right behind them, another group of 13 - yes, 13 - came in and asked how long a wait would be. The CM asked if they had an ADR and they didn't know what that meant. At any rate, our group, the group of 8 AND the group of 13 were all seated within minutes of each other.

Amazing since the ONLY time we could get in that day was 2:10. Go figure!

The food was absolutely delicious and there was no problem ordering what we wanted off the menu from beverage (non-alcoholic) thru dessert. I had the dessert sampler, DD had the S'mores, DH had the Creme Brulee and the other 3 had the Chocolate Whiskey Cake.

The only problem we faced was navigating out the door - none of us had been that full in a long, long time!
