7/8 - Tues
Last day

at WDW. One week definately is a must if traveling with small children. This way we were able to take our time each day. We definately didn't see any where near the attractions that we saw when DH and I were alone in '98, but we looked at this trip as DD's trip and we took cues from her when it was time to take a break, etc.
Had PS for Goofy breakfast at BC. Was really looking forward to this since I really wanted to see what BC was like to hopefully stay there for next trip. But after a whole week of buses, boats and monorails we felt getting to the BC from Poly would be too much of a hassle. Called Ohana, they were booked, but we got into 1900 Park Fare at GF. Finished packing, did some last minute shopping and took monorail to GF. The characters here were Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonder, Matt Hatter, Tigger and Pooh. We really weren't there for characters (DD didn't even know who MP, AiW and MH were) and we saw Pooh & Tigger at CP and Toontown Fair. What we were looking for was a nice big breakfast since our towncar was picking us up at 12:30 and our flight wasn't leaving until 2:45. This breakfast was really good. For kids they had an apple pizza (looked like apple streudel), tator tots, scrambled eggs, and like 10 types of cereal. For adults there was a cook-to-order omlette station, biscuits & gravy, potato casserole, grits, fresh fruit, danishes and standard breakfast stuff. Food was very good and hearty. Service on the other had wasn't very good. Oh well - our PS was at 11, so maybe server had had a long morning!
Got back to Poly around 12:15. Driver was there waiting and we left for the airport.
Had a great trip. What people had said about July was correct - it was VERY HOT!!!!! It was crowded - but kinda in a good way. I was glad to see that although there is so much uncertainty in the world today - people still want to have fun and everyone still loves Disney! :) We enjoyed the restaurants just as much as the parks. Planning and PS's made meals enjoyable rather than a hassle. Its easy enough to cancel a PS, but not so easy to make one once you are there. Definately let CM's know when you are celebrating something special. They really go out of their way to make you feel important! As I mentioned previously, the location of the Poly can't be beat! It was very nice but also very unpretentious, so if you have little kids you feel comfortable.
Now off to plan my next Disney trip!!:)
