Tour the parks early morning, leave at or after lunch and then take a break at the pool or in the room. Go back out for your dinner and then head to a park at night to watch a parade or fireworks. If I don't have some kind of break by 2pm, I am compltely miserable.

I concur. One of our kids gets heat stroke, so chilling out in the room in the afternoon is key if you want to make it at all into the evening. I would also suggest a lot of water. Good luck!
