We stayed at the Red Roof Anaheim last May and I HIGHLY recommend it! The rooms were clean, it was almost all families. Very easy walk. It looks a little far on the maps, but it's really not and the walk fine. We made it several times the days we were there. You can get the resort transportation for about $10 for several days, but after walking it we decided it wasn't worth it and the stroll was fine.
