If you're looking at either staying on property or not I would say stay on. Paradise Pier is a little less pricey and isn't a horrible walk to the parks. The Disneyland Hotel would be my vote. It has the perfect location and the rooms are wonderful. The Grand Californian is a little pricey but beautiful. Hope this helps!
