We were there in August '06. Of course it was hot, but manageable. The crowds were not too bad.....It was the first time we were there in Aug. and we had some initial hesitations (though we had been encouraged by other family members that Aug. was a good time to go), so off we went! Really, we were pleased with our trip. We just tried to pace ourselves with the heat. There are usually summer storms that will cool things off and thin the crowds. We had a great rate with AAA with our on-site room. All in all - very happy with our trip.
