I've done both. We did September first, and the place was empty. Walk on many rides, with a wait no more than 10 minutes at most. It was hot, but very managable. Our last trip was in August. I thought there wouldn't be too much of a difference, but there was. August seemed so much more humid. Everything was sticky within minutes of walking outside. It was very crowded also. To the point that the kids voiced their opinions they would rather not go if we choose August again. Now, I'm assuming it wouldn't of been as bad had we not gotten spoiled by going in September first. So, if you are choosing, September - hands down!
