Hi everyone! I am an expert at the American parks, but a newbie at the others. I visited Disneyland Tokyo in October 2000 and it was pretty busy. For instance, Pooh fast passes were GONE in the first couple of hours. Disney Sea was being built, so there was only one park to go to.

I will be in Japan in for the World Science Fiction Convention in Yokohama from Thursday 8/30 - Monday 9/3. I can go to Disneyland either the week before or the week after. I know that the school kids will be returning to school on 9/3 so I expect the parks to be fairly busy. Do the crowds drop off a lot after the kids go back to school? What about the park hours? I would rather not go to Disneyland after the convention because I have a 3rd-grader who would miss the first week of school. BUT if we will have a significantly better time with fewer crowds, I would do it.

So, are the crowds much better that first week of September v/s the last week of August? Also, is there somewhere with historical park hours?

If it makes any difference we'll be staying at the Hilton or the Sheraton on hotel points.
