We have flown in december to WDW quite a few times. My best advice is get a feel for what a R/T flight should cost. We live near O'Hare and Midway airport in Chicago. Highest Fair was $208. R/T. Lowest fare a ding from Sothwest $59.00 each way.
So when I am looking for airfare I keep that price range in my head. Then if i find a good deal within that range I book it.
Sure the price may go down....or up... but I have my flight.
In our experience waiting for Fall sales has been to our advanatge.
