As I posted a few days ago, construction has begun on WDW's new Soarin' attraction as evidenced by the boom of a construction crane that now looms behind the berm between Epcot's Imagination and Land pavilions. I was at the park again Monday and managed to snap a few photos. The photos were taken near dusk on an overcast day, but they're still decent.

Two cast members I spoke with said Disney was taking some environmental heat because they had to mow down a bunch of old oak trees to clear the construction site. What price progress?
