Re: NYT Travel on Disney

This artical was a bit difficult to follow... the author contradicts himself.

So... Disney has made some mistakes. We get frustrated when a ride breaks down or we get put in a room with one king bed instead of two queens. But go to any other theme park after visiting WDW. They just don't compare.

As for the ride deaths, none of those were mechanical error. Ride restrictions and warnings are placed all over the building and play frequently on recordings. It's been a while (probably shouldn't resurface the matter), but that four-year-old boy had no business going on Mission: Space, and it was the fault of the parents.

But, through all of the bad reviews and boycotts (Southern Baptists... heh), people continue to travel to Disney. Why? Well, it could be the magic, or the adventure. Maybe the kids are dragging the parents back. Who knows? Whatever the reason, Disney continues to create magical memories for every park guest (and bring in the $$$$).
