You had to purchase the CD. Pre-purchased online before your trip it's on special at $99, purchased at the counter it's $124 but includes 3 free 5x7 photos printed for you right then, purchased online after your trip it's also $124 but I don't believe you get free printed photos.
The CD has all your Photopass pictures for you to print or alter any way you want at home.
A women purchased at the counter when I was there, they helped her alter some of the pictures for printing her free photos and told her to come back in 15 or 20 minutes for the CD to be ready. Of course you would want to do that just before leaving. The free photos would be nice but it's more convenient to do it at home before or after your vacation.
