In my personal opinion, the best way to start a collection is to bid on a set of pins on ebay (don't pay more then $2/pin with shipping) then take those pins with you to the park, and ask every CM you see to look at their lanyards (not green lanyards, those are for kids only) Then build yourself the PERFECT collection!!
Last time we were there, my two DD were on the hunt for baby princesses . . . they got them all but Mulan . . . so that's our mission this time! It's a lot of fun, and then you can make your own personal collection!
