Hello! Sorry I haven't reported yet!!! Boy am I tired!!! But we are at Daytona now resting, looking at the beach and getting ready for the 2nd leg of our trip... but here I go to catch you up...
Nov. 15 th (Thurs.) we arrived at Disney to check into Fort Wilderness and was pleasently surprised! The cabin was large with a kitchen (which we baked cookies for a late night snack - we went to Walmart on the way to the Resort). It had the most comfortable beds you could imagine (we almost didn't want to wake up!). It also had a pull down bed that pulled down in living/dining room area. It had a front porch that we ate our cookies and juice on (it was pretty late at night, but we were excited).
Nov. 16 (Fri.) we had breakfast at Ohana's with Lilo, Donald, Stitch and Mickey - what a way to kick of the Disney mood. The breakfast was wonderful, with fresh waffles, juice, sausage, bacon, eggs, pinapple bread, cinnamon buns, and all you can eat! We did a parade around the restaurant with the characters and the kids didn't want to leave.
We left and went to the Holy Land Experience which my older kids loved (13,10,6) but the 4 year old was getting bored. We stayed and toured for about 4.5 hours.
We went to the Chip & Dale Campfire at Disney for resort guest and the kids loved roasting marshmellows, singing songs, and making smores. We didn't stay for the movies but went on the boat ride to Magic Kingdom and back to our resort. We watched the fireworks and water light show on the ferry (free fun!)
Nov. 17th (Sat) we went to the Nicklodean hotel and had a nice room with a bunk bed and Queen sized bed. It was nice but not as comfy as the Ft. Wilderness cabins, but all my kids were excited to be at the Nick hotel and we went to the pool! We stayed there running back and forth up and down the slide and they were having a poolside show, we dressed and I sent the kids to the nick at night activity where they got to do the live gameshow, make slime, have dinner and play games! We dropped them off at 5-11pm and we took the 4 yr old with us to dinner.
Nov. 18th (Sun) we went to the Diego Live animal show with the kids (they still didn't know about the Disney cruise we were going on but I was soooo excited!!!) They enjoyed seeing the animals and taking pics with Diego, but we had to leave and catch the boat.
We were riding along and saw the sign for Port Canaveral and said to the kids you want to see the Disney ships? My oldest was like "Why...its just going to make us sad cause we can't go." We said "Let's check it out anyway!"...When we got there I turned around and said,"Who wants to go Cruising! Surprise We are heading to the Bahamas!!" the kids jumped up and down and screamed "Yeahy!"
