21Oct-26Oct07 Visit

Hello, being that I am new to this forum, let me introduce myself. My name is Brian and I am originally from NJ, a recent newlywed, and little kid trapped in an adult's body. We recently had a trip and stayed at CB (1st time at that resort). We brought a piece of the Magic in 2005 with DVC and this would be the first time I was not greeted with the 'welcome home' . Aside from some technicalities at CB the overall Disney experience was awesome as always. A bunch of people that I worked with coordinated a trip so we would be in Disney around the same time. There were no expectations or agendas. This was probably the 1st time I've been to Disney where my OCD did not impede progress! I am thinking of going on the 'fly' our next visit.
We ended up getting an AP with the DVC discount (def worth it, we are going back in May and looking to go again in October before the pass expires). We visited all the main parks at least once and did the food and wine festival (or beers around the world) at Epcot Wednesday night with my coworkers. We did the MNSSHP on Tuesday night...I promptly defeated my wife 2 times on the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Ride. Then we all watched the Halloween Parade.
We also experienced 2 'Magical Moments'; one of my buddies got a free ice cream upgrade on Main Street, and then we got to sit in front of the Monorail (not so much a magical moment, but I loved the monorail when I was a kid). When we were done with the monorail, we received a certified co-pilot's certification...I'll be adding that to my recert process every other year!
The lines were really manageable. We got into the Nemo Show in AK with little effort, and jumped on EE with a 15 minute wait. The weather was HOT and rained for part of one day...but that is expected.
Our trip home was quite the fright. We sat on the tarmac at MCO for 2 hours because of a 'security issue'. Turns out that some guy made it past screening without getting a bag checked. So after the 2 hours and a search of our plane from TSA, a guy who suspiciously looked like a marshal boarded our plane. As if that was not bad enough, we circled over Baltimore awaiting permission to enter EWR's airspace. With all that circling, we ran out of fuel. EWR would still not let us land. We ended up landing in an airfield in Newburg, NY for fuel. Long story short (too late), a 2.5 hour flight became a 6 hour ordeal!
Sorry for the ramble...I guess I need to organize my thoughts next time!
