She loves creating themes for the trip... it used to be princesses then it was "Chips & Dales" as she calls them... This year it is the more traditional characters.. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto... She really enjoys making them and it helps get us ready to go!
We have always left them on the nighstand or dresser but they are clearly marked so we have never had a problem either.

This is such a cute idea... I always worry that mousekeepers will not know that the $$$ left out is actually for them. I never was sure what we were supposed to do with it!
