With one exception, I've always gotten my tickets from WDW itself, either through e-tickets on line for special parties in the MK or regular passes from the brick and mortar ticket windows. My first annual pass was bought on line and redeemed at WDW and renewed in person at WDW.
There is only one time I got tickets elsewhere. One day we decided to go to Disney Quest as a stand alone and got our tickets through one of those tourist ticket operations in the Perkins on I Drive at Sand Lake. We actually had to pick them up at a different location, part of a gas station near WDW on 535. We saved a few dollars and had no problems with what we got, but
since that time, we've had park hoppers or APs exclusively through WDW or Disney Travel.
