Yeah, I figured I'm on spring break right now, got nothing better to do, might as well write up my one-day trip report.
Company: friends "Em" (chick) and "W" (dude), and other students that I don't know.
Started on Friday, January 18th, with an 8am departure from one of the school buildings. This trip was sponsored by the school's international student services organization, but they didn't say US civilians couldn't come so I figured why not, haha. The bus ride was filled with some napping and alot of drawing. I had a 22 page comic script to draw finished roughs for by the following Wednesday, and in case y'all aren't familiar with the industry/my current speed of working...thats alot of work!! So I took my homework with me.
Around the afternoon, got to a Best Western...somewhere on I-9, there was a Red Lobster across the street....Em napped and I kept drawing for a few more hours...caught dinner at Red Lobster, chilax'd for the rest of the night, bought our tix at the desk downstairs (SCHOCKED AT THE PRICE NEARING 80!!!

) and plotted for Disney Studios the next day. Em had a conniption to realize that Universal and Disney were two seperate parks.

No one differentiated for her on prior trips as a youngin, lol.
Saturday (my birthday!) : Met W after b'fast and caught the bus leaving the hotel (@ 11 am!! What a horribly late start to the day, it hurt me so bad...) and on our way to Hollywood. Day started out as foggy, rain being called for that day, which made Tower of Terror nice and creepy to look at. Headed to ToT, got a fast pass, then rode it. Em had never been to this park, and W hadn't been to anything bigger than a carnival. Em wanted to do ToT again right away, W backed off and said he'd meet us.
Headed over to RockinRollercoaster, still without W, and between all this, enjoyed the 'streetmosphere'. I don't recall ever seeing that much in the streets of Studios before, I was pleasantly surprised! Met W eventually, hopped onto GMR, then over to the Super Amazing Car stunt show (my first time seeing it, I was extremely impressed!)
I snagged a birthday button from the front desk, just because I'd never been able to go on my birthday before.

Got a 'Dream' Certificate and pretty sparkly 'Dream' Tink pin, too!
Realized around 4:30 that every resturant was full, so did some shopping then grabbed some food at the strip of places outside of Fantasmic, with the plot to eat and wait for show to start. Ten minutes before showtime, God decides to give me my birthday present and cry all over us. Oh, how it poured. Soaked, Fantasmic was cancelled and we waited under cover which was impossible to find, with just my tiny crappy umbrella, and realized that the hotel bus wasn't going to come back until about 8...or 9. I don't remember. We didn't want to wait two more hours, so I called a friend who said we could catch a cab. Finally found a cab, paid him 17 bucks, and went home to dry off and sigh a bit.
Em wouldn't let me do any homework that night, cause it was m birthday, darn it!
Sunday: Woke up on time, whew, had b'fast, caught the bus, and after a small stop at a mall food court, made it home...to keep drawing haha.
Em and W said they had fun, but it just kind of felt like an unfulling day, yknow? Maybe cause of late start, maybe missing the pinaccle Fantasmic of the day, maybe cause of doing ToT 3 times, maybe cause of splitting up... who knows. Either way, I'm pretty sure Studios doesn't hold the magic it once did for me.
Thats my storya nd I'm sticking to it! I only took about...5 photos maybe. I'll put those up sometime soon.
I just realized I never finished my TR from LAST spring break.

OOOOOOps!
