Unfortunately, I don't believe it has anything to do with anything unusual or special happening during that time. It's just that Disneyland/DCA don't usually have the Fireworks, Parade or Electrical Parade on week days unless it's "high season". Early June is still not considered high season...:( So..they only have them on weekends.
