Re: Thanks, Nana!

Toon Town, here we come! I had wanted to be done with Fantasyland by 10:00, but I picked up Philharmagic FPs as we walked by, and they said it was 10:20. I could get my next FP set at 10:20, so it is true what they say: the Phil FP machine is not connected with other FP machines. We all visited Pete’s garage on our way into Toon Town, and Grace did some shopping at the little kiosk nearby. We couldn’t find the lanyard she’d brought from home, and she was itching to do some pin trading, so she bought a new lanyard. (I ended up finding it in her sister’s suitcase when we got home, so now she has two!) I called my brother and he directed me to the face-painting booth. While Christian and I headed over there, Rick took the girls on Barnstormer with no wait. This was to become what Kate would lovingly call “my rollercoaster.” Yes, folks, she is destined to become a thrill junkie like her mama!

Here is the result of Macy's face painting:

As soon as Rick and the girls got off of Kate's rollercoaster, the girls and I joined my brother and his family for a spin. The line had built up a bit by this point, but we chatted away and the time passed by very quickly. While we were waiting in line, I took this photo (the only one of my brother the entire trip!)

I may have taken this while we were waiting, as well. Kate loved Donald's Boat although she never got to play in the fountain area.

After the rollercoaster ride, we met back up with Christian and Rick and visited with my brother a little longer. Everybody was thirsty as it was a lovely warm day, so we bought some more frozen lemonades at the Toontown Farmers Market. We had a train to catch (to Frontierland!) and they were planning on hitting Fantasyland, so we parted company until tomorrow morning's Kona Cafe breakfast.

At some point that morning, I noticed that I'd lost my camera case. I had my camera, but I eventually figured out that my case (and an extra memory stick) was left behind at the Winnie the Pooh ride. For some reason, I was juggling a lot of stuff while I was riding in that hunny pot with Christian. I didn't let it bother me too much, but we did stop at Lost and Found a few times over the next few days!

Time to head to Frontierland! We hopped on the train at Toon Town, planning to head for the mountains (Big Thunder and Splash, that is!) This is one of my favorite pictures of the trip:

It reminded me of one of my favorite pictures from last year:

Grace sure has changed a lot!

Christian really enjoys riding the train:

Up next: more MK fun!
